Amà lamps

Mediterranean, simple, elegant

Amà, comes from the Catalan ''a mà'', which means ''handmade'', and that is how this lamp is made. With hand-turned beech wood, solid brass details, and a dome lampshade, hand-woven in natural rattan.

Designed by Mariano Chitarrini in Barcelona, and inspired by the atmospheres of the Mediterranean houses of the great architects of the 20th century, it is a tribute to local craftsmanship.

The contrast between polished brass, wood and natural rattan, hand-woven in our Barcelona workshop, make this an elegant and welcoming piece. The texture of its materials can be enjoyed at sight.

The Amà floor lamp, features a shade of ø 40 cm (ø 15.7''), and 29 cm (11.4'') high. With its dome shape, it is hand-woven in our workshops with natural rattan. After weaving, the lampshade is protected with a layer of colourless varnish to better withstand humid conditions. Likewise, it is a lamp suitable for indoor use only.

Inside, it has a double lamp holder, with room for two E-27 or E-26 bulbs. It is recommended to use LED filament bulbs, warm colour of light. It provides a dim light that is very pleasing to the eye, which highlights the natural details of the rattan of the lampshade. It is switched on with a handle located inside the lampshade.

It has a continuous vertical upright, which enters into the rattan shade. Its materiality combines polished brass and colourless varnished beech wood, highlighting the natural beauty of each material. The precision with which the union between these two materials is made, makes that there is total continuity in the foot of the lamp.

To be placed mainly next to sofas, in a corner of the living room or in a reading area.

Option in white finish

The Amà floor lamp is also available in a version with a white structure instead of polished brass.
